On the first Sunday of the month state-owned museums and archaeological areas are open for free for everybody: it's Sunday at the Museum.


FullSizeRender-1Therefore on this day visitors of Florence can access, without having to pay a fee, a number of art places: some very famous ones and some lesser-known ones, a real art binge at zero cost.
Let's see which museums are open for free for everybody on the first Sunday of the month:

Gli Uffizi,
Galleria dell'Accademia,
Palazzo Pitti (Galleria Palatina, Galleria d'Arte Moderna, Tesoro dei Granduchi and Museo della Moda e del Costume),
Giardino di Boboli, Museo delle Porcellane and Giardino Bardini,
Museo del Bargello,
Cappelle Medicee,
Museo Archeologico,
Palazzo Davanzati (from Nov 2017 open 1:15pm-6:50pm),
Cenacolo di Andrea del Sarto,
Museo Casa Martelli.

Entrances to state museums cannot be booked on this day.

Also Villa Bardini and Museo Salvatore Ferragamo are free on the first Sunday of the month.
