In this page you can find some useful information about the free entrances in State museums of Florence. From July 2014, there are some news regarding free entrance in State museums.

Here you find some of the most important rules concerning State and Municipal museums.

There are free admissions to State and Municipal museums for people under 18, while there are some reductions for EU citizens between 18 and 25 (50% off in State museums, for example).

Students of art, archeology and architecture who study in a European university enter for free in State museums.

Journalists are admitted free in State and City Council run museums, but they need to show their badge at the entrance.

Disabled people (and the person who is accompanying them) get free entry in State and Municipal museums and have priority of access.

State- run museums are open for free on the first Sunday of every month.

From July 2014, it is allowed to take pictures in State museums. Animals are not allowed to enter in any museum.

In order to avoid long queues in the most visited museums, you can book your entrance in advance for the State museums contacting Firenze Musei (ph. number +39 055 294883 or ). The reservation fee is € 4 for the Uffizi and Accademia and € 3 for the others.
