Chini Lab, do you know what it is? And most importantly, who are the Chini? The Chini are a family of artists from the Mugello, who gave an important contribution to the Italian art at the beginning of the Twentieth Century.

The period was that of Art Nouveau and the Museum of the town of Borgo san Lorenzo is dedicated to their creations. In the Chini museum, there is an interactive area especially designed for children. It is based on the relation between two fundamental principles: children’s autonomy and the maximum respect for the place where this initiative is inserted.

In fact, designed for the Italian children but also the foreign ones, this playground is open, all to be experienced, especially built for children, a peaceful place, open to experimentation with several instruments available, which can easily be interpreted and used even without the guidance of an adult.

A choice of method: the adult group leader is mainly the arbiter of the place, the holder of a few rules for a quiet and good life and the prompter in the activities if requested by children.

Come to Chini Lab, you will enjoy yourself together with your parents, in the 7 wonderful rooms where it is possible to build a city, play with twentieth-century artists, combine shadows and lights with strange materials and much more!

By the way... you cannot wear your shoes inside the rooms, remember to bring a pair of socks!

The Chini Lab is open on Saturday and Sunday 10am – 12:30pm e 3pm – 6:30pm

Cost of the ticket, valid for the whole day:
FREE OF CHARGE for children aged 0-3
€ 1.50 for children aged from 3 to 13
