What Easter traditions are there in Florence and its surroundings?
The very special Stibbert Museum hosts an exhibition that reminds visitors of the figure of collector Frederick Stibbert and his work.
With Easter one of the most famous and traditional events of Florentine folklore returns to Florence. The Bursting of the cart, or “Brindellone” as it used to be called by the Florentines, is the legacy of an ancient peasant culture no longer in existence.
Entitled Power and Pathos. Bronze Sculptures of the Hellenistic World, the next exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi will be dedicated to the Hellenistic culture.
